What is the proper way to wear a bolo tie?
Actually, there is no "proper" way to wear a bolo tie. Some individuals prefer to wear them like a cloth tie with the slide tight in the collar. Others prefer to let the slide sit a little lower for a more relaxed, casual look.
How long should the cord be?
The length of the cord depends on personal preference. Most people prefer the cord ends to be about 3 to 4 inches
below the base of the sternum (breastbone). In general, individuals under 6 feet tall with an average build choose cords of
36" to 38" in length; taller individuals or those with larger body builds usually want cords of 40 to 42 inches long.
If you are unsure, use a measuring tape or piece of string to determine the length you think looks best for you. We can accommodate
requests for leather cords longer than 42" for individuals who want them. Use the "Special Instructions" area when checking out to
note the length you need. (Suedette cords are not available in lengths longer than 42 inches.)
How do I get the curl out of my leather cord?
Our leather cord comes to us on spools and may retain some of the curl (memory) from the spool. To straighten the cord, move the slide to the very end of the cord and let the tie hang for a day or two.
How should I store my bolo tie?
The best way to store bolo ties, particularly those with leather cords, is to hang them on a tie rack to keep the cords straight. You can also lay them flat to prevent the cord from curling.
How do I attach the tips to my cord?
We recommend a two part clear epoxy resin (available on our website under the Adhesives category
or at most home improvement and crafts stores).
Mix a little adhesive on a paper plate or piece of cardboard, scoop a little up on the end of a toothpick and
coat the inside the tip with the epoxy.
Push the tip onto the cord end and let dry.
To attach sterling or gold-filled tips, we recommend a non-permanent adhesive that will allow you to remove the tips without damage should you ever need to
replace the cord. Once the cord is inserted into the tip, use your fingernail, a small piece of wood, a small pair of needle nose pliers,
a small screwdriver (be careful not scratch if using metal) or similar tool to bend the prongs at the top of the tip into the cord.
How long will it take to ship my tie?
Ties usually ship within 24 to 48 hours (excluding weekends) after the order is received.
Do you sell bolo settings without the stone?

page or our Bolo Slides page.
Will the new American Eagle silver dollar fit in your silver dollar setting?

International Priority Mail shipping is usually about $25.00 to $35.00 depending on the amount of products you purchase. All customers receive accurate shipping quotes before completing their order and know the final total of the order, including shipping costs, before the order is submitted.

No. Our inventory of products changes frequently and we found it impossible to keep a print catalog up to date.
